Little Frog Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project in Portland Oregon. Community members purchase seasonal shares of vegetables that are grown at the farm on Sauvie Island and distributed weekly in NE Portland during the growing season. Members pay for their shares in the spring, in order to enable the farmer (Heather) to pay for expenses up front. Members share farming risks and enjoy whatever bounty the season may bring. Little Frog Farm uses only organic growing practices to provide the most healthy, fresh produce possible. Little Frog Farm emphasizes low food miles (the farm is less than 15 miles from the delivery location), sustainable practices, and community involvement. 2009 CSA Dates: Late June through early November (20 weeks) Cost of a Share: $525 (One share feeds 2-3 adults, depending on eating habits). Amount is due in full by March 30 to secure a share. Weekly Pick up Day/Location: Wednesdays, late afternoons at Enterbeing (NE 16th & Alberta St).
